Bill Belichick to Return to Pats for 24th Season

Date:

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has officially announced a return. Belichick will come back to the Patriots for his 24th consecutive season as head coach. He will be 71-years-old for the duration of the 2023-2024 season.

PFF’s Ari Meirov reported the news via Twitter on Monday.

Belichick joined the Patriots in 2000 after the team traded the Jets a first round pick in the draft in exchange for being able to hire him. New England went 5-11 that season, before the dynasty officially started.

Among his accomplishments are most Super Bowl wins (eight; two as the Giants’ DC, six as the Patriots head coach), most Super Bowl appearances (12), most playoff wins as a head coach (31) and most divisional championships as a head coach (31). He will now attempt to return to the Super Bowl yet again with Mac Jones and crew.
