All the VALORANT Americas Partnership Teams

Date:

After a hefty process and investigation set by Riot Games, we finally have confirmation of who are the lucky organizations that will be able to participate in the VALORANT Americas partnered league. It was definitely a difficult task to accomplish for any organization, as teams such as OpTic Gaming were not able to sustain Riot’s test. Today we are going to take a look at the teams for the next years of VALORANT competitive play.

-Cloud 9

A well known organization of North American esports since its creation back in 2013, Cloud 9 made its debut in VALORANT around 2020 and has competed in the region’s Challengers events. Most notably, the organization reached the quarter finals of VALORANT Champions in 2021, sadly losing to Team Liquid.

-100 Thieves

100 Thieves has a strong partnership with NBA team Cleveland Cavaliers since its revival after a multimillion dollar investment from the club’s owner Dan Gilbert to support the scene.

Since then the organization has achieved an LCS title in 2021 and expanded its competitive teams to include Fortnite, Apex Legends and VALORANT. 100 Thieves qualified for VALORANT Champions 2022 through North America’s last chance qualifier. The organization also attended two VCT Masters events in 2021, Stages 1 and 3.

-Sentinels

The squad quickly made a name for itself within the VALORANT VCT, winning the game’s first two Masters events: VCT 2021 Masters North America and Reykjavík. Outside of VALORANT, the organization has also found success within the Halo and Fortnite scene.

-NRG

The organization was founded in 2015, when the owners of NBA’s Sacramento Kings purchased esports squad Team Coast. From a competitive standpoint, the organization has yet to make a major impact within VALORANT. However, NRG’s highest finish was this year, placing 4th during VCT 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers.

-Evil Geniuses

Evil Geniuses is perhaps one of the worst organizations within VALORANT compared to its other North American participants, purely from a results standpoint. Nevertheless, Evil Geniuses is incredibly experienced within the esports scene, being founded back in 1999.

The organization works in League of Legends as a franchised team in the LCS, Rocket League, CS GO, VALORANT and Dota 2.

-LOUD

LOUD quickly grew to become a content and media juggernaut in Brazil, investing even in the music and fashion industries. LOUD became the first esports team in the world to reach 1 billion views on YouTube after just over one year of standing as an organization.

Nevertheless, even if the recent VCT Champions title helped LOUD to the top of the scene in September 2022, the organization was already considered the best squad in Brazil since its creation back in February 2022.

-Furia

“The Brazilian Powerhouse”, FURIA reached the international stage through CS GO, having one of the best teams in the world and being a part of the ESL Pro League.

If we talk about money and partnerships, FURIA is one of the most successful in Brazil, achieving deals with PokerStars, Red Bull and FTX. Going into VALORANT, the team qualified for two VALORANT Champions, Berlin 2021 and Istanbul 2022, but on both occasions sadly did not get past the first stage.

-MIBR

MIBR, under the management of CEO Roberta Coelho since 2021, has absolutely grown its competitive, content, and business departments in 2022, launching projects such as WIBR.

Entering VALORANT back in January 2022, MIBR sadly has not performed up to par. However, its women’s team is one of the best in the Brazilian Game Changers ecosystem, having recently won the Player1 Series Hera 4.

-KRÜ Esports

KRÜ Esports has never been left out of an international VALORANT competition ever, having consistently placed 1st in LATAM qualifiers since 2021. Currently being the only organization to attend all international VALORANT events.

The squad experienced extremely quick growth, thanks to the support of sponsors like Twitch, AMD, and Aorus, which sponsored the organization since its creation.

-Leviatán

Founded in Argentina by Fernando ‘F10’ Diez, Leviatán is looking to represent Latin America as a whole, being the main competition regional wise to KRÜ Esports.

Attending multiple competitions, plus having over 10 million fans across social media profiles, has earnt Leviatán a sponsorship deal with the likes of KFC.

Leviatán has fielded the VALORANT lineup since 2021. However, it came into VALORANT’s international spotlight recently, during the VALORANT Champions Istanbul 2022, it qualified for the first time into playoffs after beating both Team Liquid and Paper Rex.
