Crypto meetups in the Philippines are no longer limited to the National Capital Region (NCR) as gatherings are also happening one after another in the Bicol Region.

This coming October 8 and 9, well-known artists in the non-fungible token (NFT) space will be gracing the comeback of the annual Albay Multimedia Arts Convention (AMAC), a two-day event happening at Ayala Malls Legazpi in Albay. AMAC is one of the biggest events celebrating creativity through art and tech in South Luzon, cultivating the grass root creative community since 2016.

“For this year’s AMAC, we will explore the intersection of art and technology in the biggest event celebrating creativity in the Bicol Region,” their website states.

We’re so excited to add more innovation to the event by exploring the intersection of art and technology. There are also lots of exciting community-led activities for this year’s AMAC. And our hearts are so fulfilled to see how the event grow from dozens to hundreds up to thousands of attendees since 2016,” Ismael Jerusalem, CEO of Ownly said in a statement.

About 2000 attendees are expected to attend, experience, and enjoy more than 50 artists and brands that will participate in the event’s art fair, art exhibit, and music jam. Attendees are also encouraged to join their photowalk and listen to their four art talk speakers.

They noted that only the Art Talks are ticketed while the other activities are open and free for everyone to enjoy.

Speakers

Meanwhile, the speakers for this year’s event are illustrator and doodle artist Lei Melendres; forerunner, artist, and digital nomad Jopet Arias; spoken word artist Verlin Santos; and creative director Karl Vasquez.
