21 shares listed the first ETP on the Cosmos blockchain which is an ecosystem that is booming in popularity as of late with its native cryptocurrency ATOM growing to become the 16th biggest one in terms of market cap. Now, 21 Shares listed the world’s first cosmos exchange-traded product. In the press release, the world’s leading issuer of crypto exchange-traded products announced the listing of the ETP for the Cosmos blockchain. The product will trade against EU, USD, and CHF on the Switzerland SIX exchange.
The press release read that the product is geared towards investors to took to capitalize on the growth trajectory of the decentralized blockchain and interoperable blockchains that are empowering the early stages of the metaverse. The CEO of 21 Shares Hany Rashwan noted:
“Cosmos has built a top platform that can empower everything from finance to the metaverse. We are thrilled to launch this product as we continue building widely accessible bridges into the crypto world.”
In the meantime, the value locked in the Cosmos ecosystem grew to less than $9 billion as per the data from DeFi Lama.

As recently reported, Swiss-based investment product provider 21Shares will be launching a BTC exchange-traded product in the UK on the Aquis Exchange Multilateral Trading Facility in the middle of June. 21Shares is also known as Amun, said that the product will be launched in mid-June and it is in partnership with the exchange-traded fund’s company GHCO that will act as a liquidity provider for the BTC ETP. The ETP will be cleared and engineered like an ETF and will give the institutional investors in the UK more exposure to BTC via a regulated framework as well as a structure that they are already accustomed to as the firm said in a press release.
The Inter Blockchain Communications protocol which powers Cosmos was growing steadily over the past few months and the cross-chain network grew along with the projects that run on top of it while just now reaching a milestone in terms of activity. The IBC is the backbone of the Cosmos ecosystem and it saw a huge surge in activity over the past month with more than one million transfers logged.
